    Saturday Jun 6, 2020 5:00 PM to 5:30 PM

Holy Communion Service at St. Matthew
Bishop Ricken has asked churches to offer Holy Communion beginning May 30-31, the Feast of Pentecost. It is a first step towards opening our church to celebrate Mass in the future. We will continue our online Masses during this time and hope you watch the Mass before or after receiving Holy Communion.

St. Matthew Parish will be offering Holy Communion on Saturdays from 5:00 to 5:30 pm and 10 to 10:30 am on Sundays.

For safety of all people we will have instructions on how to prepare for and take part in the communion service. This includes entering and exiting the church through separate doors, wearing a face mask and practicing social distancing. You can view the instructions and prayer sheet a head of time by clicking here.

The tentative date for weekend Mass to begin again at St. Matthew is the weekend of June 13th & 14th, along with June 15th for daily Mass. We will keep you informed as the date gets closer.

We look forward to seeing you! Keep safe and healthy! Staff of St. Matthew Parish

  • YNIA 2020 Service Trip

Sunday Jun 21, 2020 All day

Young Neighbors in Action Trip – June 21-26
Over the past 20 years St. Matthew has taken a group of high school students on a service or mission trip for a week during the summer. June 2020 we will be heading to Detroit for a unique week of service learning. Our week will help us respond to Pope Francis’ call for a church that discovers Christ by loving and responding to the needs of the poor. Working with other youth from around the country, we’ll build community while we focus on the church’s Social Teaching.

Sign-up is on a first-come basis for Parish members and past participants. This year’s team has room for a total of 18 youth and adults. Your spot is reserved with a completed registration form and your down payment of $50. The full cost for the trip is approximately $375 out of pocket, but fundraising will bring down the total significantly.

Participants should be aware that there will be meetings to prepare, as well as group fundraising events they will be expected to participate in as part of meeting the group costs for the trip.

Youth participants must have completed at least their freshman year in high school. Adult chaperones are required to be at least 21 years old, and must undergo a background check and Virtus training. Registration materials are available on the St. Matt’s website, in the gathering space and parish office. Questions? Contact Mike Westenberg at the parish office 920-435-6811.
