Service Saturday @ St. John's

We're working with staff at St. John’s Shelter to have a service Saturday for families on January 26.  We’ll meet at the shelter a bit before 10 am, have a brief tour of the main areas of the shelter and learn a bit about the work that is done there, and then work on a variety of housekeeping and cleaning projects. Plan on working until noon, but if you need to leave a bit earlier that’s fine. All ages welcome. Contact Mike or Margaret at the St. Matthew Parish Office 920-435-6811 if you have questions or are interested in joining us.

Generations of Faith News

Last session when we gathered we chalked the Church entry with the Epiphany blessing of the 3 kings….we also sent home blessing kits so you could chalk and bless your dwelling. To be honest it took me till this week to get the job done, but we did chalk the house. It’s never too late – as I said last Wednesday some cultures extend Epiphany right up to Ash Wednesday.
Cold Weather + Chili = GOF Chili Dump This Wednesday! Bring your favorite chili - there will be a starter pot (and a separate chili not included in the mix). If you aren't a chili maker, how about a delicious dessert?

Young Neighbors In Action Summer 2019 Service Trip

We're heading to Omaha, Nebraska! June 22 – 29, 2019 Our week will help us respond to Pope Francis’ call for a church that discovers Christ by loving and responding to the needs of the poor. Working with other youth from around the country, we’ll build community while we focus on the church’s Social Teaching. Sign-up is on a first-come basis for Parish members and past participants. This year’s team has room for a total of 18; thirteen youth and five adults. Visit our YNIA page for more info.

Sunday Connection

This weekend's connection: Third Sunday in Ordinary Time

Here at St. Matthew we have added the Sunday Connection Scripture readings from Loyola Press to our website. The upcoming Sunday's readings are put into everyday English and broken down into school age groups to help children, adults, and families connect with one another. More
