Alpha Session
Monday Oct 29, 2018 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM
Be part of an adventure this fall!
Alpha is a series of sessions exploring the basics of the Christian faith. Typically run over eleven weeks, each session looks at a different question that people can have about faith and is designed to create conversation. It's an open, informal and honest space to explore and discuss faith and life's big questions together.
Alpha is run in local communities all around the world, and everyone's welcome. No two Alphas look the same, but they do have three key things in common: food, a talk and good conversation.
Each session takes a look at a question people have about faith and following Jesus. Some of the talk topics include: Is there more to life than this? Who is Jesus? Why did Jesus die? How can I have faith? Why and how do I pray? Why and how should I read the bible? Who is the Holy Spirit? Does God heal today? How does God guide us? How do I make the most of the rest of my life?
The course is absolutely free. Feel free to invite friends, family, anyone who you think might be interested. All are welcome - you don’t have to be part of the parish or Catholic to participate.
St. Matt’s Fall Alpha begins September 17th. Visit http://www.stmattsgb.org/Alpha for more information and to sign up.
