Advent Blizzard - Enjoy?

As we are land-locked in our heated and protected home, the blizzard of last night and this morning 'force' us to slow down - we have no choice. Advent themes continually ask us to be patient and wait, yet our culture and society say the opposite - shop to get the perfect present, bake the once a year cookies, attend the multiple Holiday parties, and transform our house & yard with our decorations.

Our relationships and especially our marriage need us to slow down and appreciate each other.  As I was helping Jolene this morning with preparing a beef roast for dinner, I realized that the blizzard was a gift and a call from God to enjoy each other and our marriage!

Be safe today, slow down, and appreciate the time with your love ones!  Enjoy!!!
