This year our oldest son, David, decided to join the Cross Country team at school. He was able to improve his time a little bit each meet. If you've never been to a meet, it is quite a bit of exercise for the kids as well as the parents! We cheer at the starting line, then walk quickly to the first mile marker and cheer some more. Then we try to make it back so we can see him on the home stretch for more encouragement.
What if marriage was like that? Do we make it a point to be with our spouse at important 'mile markers'? Are we our spouse's encourager and cheerleader? Like David improved, are we improving our relationship a little bit at a time?
Just something to think about!
