Labor Day

As I (Jolene) sit here and write this, Wayne is at work...seems odd to me to be laboring on labor day...although I just scrubbed the kitchen floor until it sparkled! It got me to thinking about what kind of 'labor' marriage entails. Sometimes, when we are distant from each other, we have to find ways to reconnect...that is sometimes hard work! When one of us is not feeling up to par, the other has to pick up the slack with chores, kids, cooking, etc...that is hard work. How about being the head cheerleader for your partner? That can also be draining at times.

The list could go on and on, but marriage is a dance of give and take, and even if the dance is work sometimes, it's worth it!
