The past few weeks Wayne and I have not been connecting at a deep level. We've each been so busy with work, graduations, mowing, chaufferring, college orientations, and just general exhaustion. Sometimes we feel like strangers that happen to live together and share kids!
When we feel disconnected there is usually a pattern we follow to get back in sync. This is our usual pattern. Step #1...fight or argue about something stupid. Step #2...Realize that the fight is really about our priorties being out of balance. Step #3...Apologize to each other about the stupid fight! Step #4...Go somewhere alone (walk, dinner, etc.) and catch each other up on our lives. Step #5...Reconcile, when we confess to each other that we have each been selfish instead of self-less. (God's grace calls us back to what we're supposed to be about)
