Once in a lifetime?

Our family just spent the past 4 days in Dallas in preparation for the NFL Super Bowl XLV pitting the Green Bay Packers versus the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Packers won the game 31-25 for their 13th NFL championship and their 4th Super Bowl victory.

This experience reminded me of another experience in January 1997 in New Orleans as the Packers defeated the New England Patriots 35-21 in Super Bowl XXXI. Jolene was 9 months pregnant with our 4th child, Michael, and we were ready to have him in New Orleans, if necessary - he was born 10 days later on February 5th.

Our marriage as in our life is often made up of opportunities (Super Bowls, birth of children, graduations, etc.) that might only happen one time or sometimes will come again. We were blessed with this second opportunity to bring the entire family to Dallas and the Super Bowl - the decision was not really difficult to make!
